2. Summary
- We use no cookies and no third-party advertising or tracking services. For anonymous visitor statistics we use the Umami software on our own server in Germany.
- Fonts are hosted on our own server. No data is transferred to Google or similar providers when you visit the site.
- Data is only passed to service providers where this is necessary to operate the website or answer your enquiry.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website runs on our own server, which we operate with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in their Nuremberg data centre. When you open the pages, your browser necessarily transmits your IP address and information about your browser and operating system to the server. This is required to deliver the site (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We store no access logs containing your IP address. Only in the event of technical faults may error messages be logged briefly; these are overwritten automatically. We have a data processing agreement with Hetzner pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Cookies and visitor statistics
We do not use any cookies that require consent. We only use technically necessary storage (§ 25 (2) TDDDG, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) where it is required for a function you have requested.
To understand which pages are visited, we use the open-source software Umami. It runs on our own server at Hetzner in Nuremberg; no data is transferred to third parties. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records: the page visited, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and country (derived from the IP address). Your IP address is not stored. To count visits, Umami creates an identifier from encrypted technical characteristics that changes regularly, so you are not recognised over a longer period. We cannot link this to you as a person.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement and improving our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If “Do Not Track” is enabled in your browser, your visit is not recorded. You can also object to this at any time by email. We delete the statistics data after 24 months at the latest.
5. Contact by email and phone
If you email or call us, we process your details (for example name, company, email address, phone number and your request) in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Our mailbox is operated by IONOS SE in Germany. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Simply write to us at office@nexlakestudio.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany, or the authority in your country of residence.
